SalbutamolBronchodialator
Indication:
It is indicated for the relief of bronchospasm in
bronchial asthma of all types, chronic or acute, reversible airway obstruction,
chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, chronic bronchitis and exacerbation of
chronic bronchitis and emphysema. It is also used in the prevention of
exercise-induced bronchospasm, premature labour.
Dosage & Administration:
Adults and Children over 12 years: 2-4 mg tablet or 1-2 teaspoonfuls syrup three
or four times daily.
Children of 6-12 years:2 mg tablet or 1 teaspoonful syrup three or
four times daily.
Children of 2-6 years: 1-2 mg tablet or ½ teaspoonful syrup three or
four times daily or as directed by the registered physician.
Preparation:
Azmet Syrup: Each 5 ml syrup contains Salbutamol Sulphate BP equivalent to Salbutamol
2 mg.
