Mebalon

Indication:

Furunculosis, impetigo, sycosis barbae, eczema, skin ulcer, infected wounds, infected burn wounds, strains of Staphylococci which are resistant to other antibiotics usually remain sensitive to Bacitracin.

Dosage & Administration:

Before use, the area for application should be cleaned gently. Debris such as pus or crusts should be removed from the affected area.

Ointment: A thin film to be applied 2 to 4 times daily.

Powder: A light dusting of the powder to be applied to the affected skin area up to 4 times daily.

Preparation:

Mebalon Ointment: Each gram ointment contains Neomycin Sulfate (micronized) BP 5 mg and Bacitracin (as zinc salt) BP 500 IU.

Mebalon Powder: Each gram powder contains Neomycin Sulfate (micronized) BP 5 mg and Bacitracin (as zinc salt) BP 250 IU.
